SPC ADD SECURITY TO THEIR THERMATILE PLUS RADIANT PANELS

SPC have developed a revolutionary new addition to their ThermaTile Plus Radiant Heating Panel Range. The Leicester-based heating experts have developed a dual purpose anti-ligature and plasterboard radiant ceiling panel for installation into secure locations such as hospitals, police stations or any other development requiring a secure heating solution.

The new innovative design allows the ThermaTile Plus Radiant Panel to float within the anti-ligature/plasterboard frame allowing for expansion and contraction during heat up and cool down periods.  This is in stark contrast to the more traditional anti-ligature radiant panels which are secured direct to the ceiling through the panel and does not allow for expansion causing bending and bowing of the panel and possible cracking of the ceiling.

Once the ThermaTile Plus panel is connected to the soffit using extended gripple wire, the panel complete with anti-ligature/plasterboard frame is then connected to the pipe work using ‘extended life tested’ flexible connectors and then fixed to the plasterboard ceiling using standard screws or anti-tamper proof screws for a secure and robust fix to the preformed wooden plasterboard batons.  

This new development allows you to remove the need for any drop down access hatch to install or maintain the radiant panels. It also enables installation of the panels with the anti-ligature/plasterboard frame as little as 50mm below the soffit where ceiling void space is an issue.

The ThermaTile Plus Anti-Ligature Radiant Panels are both easy to fit and easy to maintain, giving all the well known features of SPC’s ThermaTile Plus Radiant Panels with the added security provided by the anti-ligature option.

ThermaTile Plus Anti-Ligature Radiant Panels were recently used at Tameside Hospital in Manchester.
